Swell Environmental Consulting Ltd. was established in 2004 by vegetation and aquatic ecologist Lehna Malmkvist, MSc. RPBio. We provide ecological expertise within multi-disciplinary teams for a wide range of projects - from private development projects (residential, commercial, institutional or industrial) to watershed scale land use planning for municipalities or regions. Our role as consulting ecologists is to ensure that an innovative, whole system approach is integrated into all projects. The company has excellent contacts with professionals in the environmental, engineering, building development and general contracting fields and good working relationships with regulatory agencies and the community. We also share our expertise and help to create a new way of thinking about how we integrate into our ecosystem by teaching workshops, facilitating public consultation and integrated design sessions, and lecturing at professional, community and university events.
